In the upcoming episode of Koffee With Karan 8, Karan Johar is set to host Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty. During the show, the filmmaker reminisces about his early days as an assistant director on the iconic film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. He shares his nervous encounters with the late legendary actor Amrish Puri, who portrayed Kajol’s strict father in the movie. Reflecting on his time with Amrish Puri during the making of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Karan Johar confessed to feeling intimidated by the actor while he served as an assistant director. He rKaranecounted an incident, stating, “I used to be very scared of him. When I was an AD on Dilwale, he was particular about detailing. He would come and ask, ‘What is the time?’ I gave the time, thinking he was asking the time. He replied, ‘What's the time in London? What's the time for the scene? Regarding continuity, he asked, ‘How should I drape my shawl?’ He used to leave me traumatised, but he was such a wonderful man.” Ajay Devgn also fondly remembered the actor, saying, “It's a fact that whether there was a wedding or a funeral, he was the first person to be there.” Speaking of Koffee With Karan 8, Aditya Roy Kapur and Arjun Kapoor were the guests on the last episode. The show comes up with a new episode on Disney+ Hotstar every Thursday.
